Where am I lost in the woods? Bilar man-made forest also known as Bohol Mahogany Forest is a tourist attraction in Bohol that features the 2-kilometer dense forest where people stop and take pictures of this serene ambiance. The forest is located between the town borders of Loboc and Bilar.

Chocolate Hills

This hill looks like little chocolate kisses. The unique tourist attractions of Bohol are spread over an area of 50 square kilometers, which is covered by green grass, it turns brown in the dry season, giving them the name Chocolate Hills. The hills were formed millions of years ago during the Early Pleistocene Era. According to some researchers, the Island of Bohol was once submerged and tectonic activity lifted the island, exposing limestone. Rainwater and erosion caused it to create its iconic cone-shaped hills.

Blood Compact Shrine


May our blood symbolize our unity. In Tagbilaran City, The Blood Compact Shrine is erected and it is the place where Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Chieftain of Bohol Datu Sikatuna made a pact using their blood or also known as Sandugo. Sandugo signifies the bond and mutual trust and it is also used as the first international treaty of the Philippines and Spain. The Shrine was erected to commemorate the event that happened in the place between Legazpi and Sikatuna.

Baclayon Church

The National Historical and Religious place of Bohol. Baclayon Church or officially known as The Church of Immaculada Concepcion is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. The church was founded by the Jesuits priests Juan de Torres and Gabriel Sanchez in 1596 and it is considered a historical and architectural marvel. The church was made of coral stone that was completed in the year 1727. The Church has a stunning blend of Spanish and Filipino architectural styles and is declared a national treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and a National Historical Landmark by the National Commission of the Philippines.
