Natural Staircase Built by Gods

One of Davao Oriental’s famous tourist spots, Aliwagwag Falls Eco Park not only offers an enchanting haven but also showcases the scenic views Mindanao can offer. Extending across highlands with a silver-like staircase appearance and a total of 138 cascading falls, depending on the means of measurement, it attracts not only tourists nationwide but also foreigners from all over the world.

Aliwagwag Falls is located in a region inhabited by the Mandaya Tribes of Cateel. It was said that the falls were a gift to the tribe by the gods for them to have a source of living–seemingly their fountain of life. It is also considered one of the tallest of its type.

Pic! Nic!

But Aliwagwag isn’t just limited to falls—it also offers a variety of activities for every visitor. Are you more into picnics? Aliwagwag is the place for you! The surrounding forest, part of the Aliwagwag Protected Landscape, adds to the magic. Or are you into thrilling activities? A suspension bridge that walks around the rough waves of the falls is the thing for you. Or are you someone who’s into capturing the moment? Worry not! This place is surrounded by instagrammable spots just for you.

What are you waiting for?
