How To Get There?

Location: Taklong Island Marine Sanctuary, Guimaras, Philippines

  • By Car:  Take the Iloilo–Guimaras route and park your vehicle near Jordan Ferry Terminal. From there, cross to Guimaras via pumpboat. Once in Guimaras, drive toward Nueva Valencia and follow local signs to Alman Sur or San Roque Wharf. At the wharf, hire a pumpboat to Taklong Island to reach the sandbar.
  • By Commute: From Iloilo City, head to Parola Wharf and take a public pumpboat bound for Jordan, Guimaras. Upon arriving in Jordan, ride a jeepney, multicab, or habal-habal (motorbike taxi) to Alman Sur Wharf or Barangay San Roque Wharf in Nueva Valencia, roughly a one-hour trip. From either wharf, rent a pumpboat to Taklong Island, where Baras Balabag Sandbar is located.
