Float in stillness with your gaze as jelly friends drift through the emerald hush of Tojoman Lagoon.

In Bucas Grande Island, lies Tojoman Lagoon where all the jelly friends gather. The lagoon is home to stingless jellyfish known to be spotted jellyfishes (Mastigias Papua), their species have actually evolved in isolation, where they lost their stingers due to the lagoon’s predator free environment. But they only appear depending on the season, they are most visible from March to June, although some guides say they’re present year round, just shifting locations to avoid human activity.
The Jellies Awaits You
In the past, they have allowed tourists to swim the jellyfishes but due to frequent disruption from guests thus prohibiting the activity. But worry not, they give an alternative to see them up close by riding a paddle boat with local guides who gently navigate the lagoon, allowing you to observe the jellyfish up close without disrupting them.

Paddle Boat Tour
Assisted by a tour guide, you can glide across the lagoon in a small paddle boat. The Jellyfish rise near the surface, so you can observe them clearly, swimming is no longer needed. This makes it a peaceful, meditative trance gliding through emerald waters framed by limestone cliffs.

Up Close Photography & Observation.
The jellyfish are so translucent and slow moving that you can capture stunning photos from the boat. Some tours even include DSLR or GoPro shots taken by your guide.

Learn from Local Guides
Guides are often trained in ecotourism and conservation where they share stories about the jellyfish, the ecosystem, and how the community protects it. It’s a chance to connect with the place on a deeper level and not just as a tourist, but a respectful guest.
