Bugsok Falls features two distinct streams that converge and splash into a lush basin below creating a beautiful sight often described as nature’s own oasis by both locals and tourists. The surrounding area is also dotted with grassy patches, rocky outcrops, and greenery that add to its wild untouched ambiance.

How To Get There?

Location: Mabinay, Negros Oriental, Visayas, Philippines

  • By Car: From Dumaguete City, drive north to Mabinay. The trip usually takes 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach Mabinay proper, head towards Barangay Banban where Bugsok Falls is located. The falls can be accessed through a short trek from the designated jump off point. Parking areas are available near the barangay.
  • By Commute: From Dumaguete City, take a Ceres bus or a van bound for Mabinay. The fare costs around ₱150.00 to ₱200.00. Travel time takes around 2 to 3 hours. Ask to be dropped off at Mabinay town proper. From there, you can take a habal-habal to Barangay Banban which is the jump off point to Bugsok Falls. Expect a short hike to reach the falls after the drop off.
