On January 28, 2025, before the ICC hearing of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the court is hiring individuals proficient in both Filipino and Cebuano for transcribing spoken words into written text. The hired applicants will be assigned to the Language Services Unit in the Integrated Services Division under the Office of the Prosecutor.

International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals
The ICC’s Requirements for Transcribers:
- Expertise: Preferably with a degree in linguistics or languages.
- Experience: Prior expertise in transcription or any other language-related field is desirable.
- Good listening skills, strong typing speed and accuracy, and a solid grasp of grammar and punctuation are essential.
Types of Transcribers
- Legal Transcription: Focuses on court proceedings, depositions, and other legal documents.
- General Transcription: Covers various materials, including interviews, meetings, and lectures.
- Medical Transcription: Involves transcribing medical records, reports, and consultations.
