Police authorities released an updated list of firecrackers prohibited for New Year celebrations due to safety risks and past injuries linked to their use.

Banned items include Watusi, Piccolo, Lolo Thunder, Pla-Pla, Giant Bawang, Atomic Bomb, Super Yolanda, Goodbye Philippines, Goodbye Delima, Goodbye Napoles, Bin Laden, boga devices, and other oversized or overweight firecrackers.

Safety Standards

Firecrackers exceeding 0.2 gram, those with fast-burning fuses, imported finished fireworks, and unlabeled local products are not permitted under police regulations.

Allowed Alternatives

Permitted items include Baby Rocket, Bawang, El Diablo, small Judas Belt, Paper Caps, Kwitis, and approved pailaw such as Sparklers and Roman Candles, sold only in authorized zones.

Authorities urge the public to buy only from legal vendors and report illegal firecracker sales to help ensure safer New Year celebrations.
