Kiamba is quietly building momentum as it prepares for the 22nd Timpuyog Festival in Sarangani. Key organizers recently came together to lay the groundwork for an event rooted in unity and shared identity. The celebration is expected to draw both locals and visitors eager to experience the town’s cultural pride.

Coordinated Planning and Safety

A presentation and coordination meeting was held on January 12, 2026, at the Kiamba Municipal Mayor’s Office. Festival coordinators, security personnel, the Incident Command System Team, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan attended to align plans and responsibilities. The focus centered on event flow, crowd management, and safety measures across all activities.

One of the highlights is the 3rd Festival Heart Float Parade Competition, open to civic groups, Indigenous Peoples’ organizations, schools, and businesses. Participants are encouraged to showcase creativity inspired by the Timpuyog theme of unity and togetherness. Interested groups may coordinate directly with the Kiamba Municipal Tourism and Development Office at the Cultural Heritage Building in Poblacion.
