From cool mountain blooms to glowing seaside roses, Cebu offers two very different, but equally photogenic, flower attractions. One is located along the highlands of Balamban, the other lights up the coast of Cordova at night. Here’s everything you need to know before you go.

Buwakan ni Alejandra: A Mountain Garden Escape

Buwakan ni Alejandra is a 700-square-meter flower garden located along the Cebu Transcentral Highway in Balamban. Home to around 200 species of plants, the garden bursts with color, petunias, celosias, sunflowers, and more, arranged against a backdrop of cool mountain air. The name comes from “buwak,” the Cebuano word for flower, and the garden is named after the mother-in-law of its caretaker and landscaper, Barangay Councilor Eleuterio Gentap.

Best Time to Visit

The garden is open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Morning visits are ideal for softer light and fewer people, while late afternoons offer cooler weather and golden-hour photos. Weekdays are calmer than weekends.

10,000 Roses Café: Cebu’s Glowing Seaside Landmark

Located in Cordova, Cebu, the 10,000 Roses Café is known for its massive field of artificial white roses that glow after sunset. Inspired by a public art installation in South Korea, the café combines modern design with a romantic seaside setting.
Aside from photos, visitors can enjoy coffee, cold drinks, and light snacks inside the glass café or at the outdoor seating area overlooking the bay.
