The construction of the biggest convention center in Western Visayas is now in full swing.
The 5-level Capiz Convention and Exhibition Center (CCC) is part of the largest township development in the Visayas, Pueblo de Panay township. This massive structure has a total gross floor area of 18,412.11 sq.m. and will be the largest convention center in Western Visayas once built.
The total floor area is divided into the following:
- Ground Floor Level – 8,000.07 sq.m.
- Mezzanine level – 1,869.99 sq. m.
- Second Floor Level – 6,760.07. sq.m.
- Upper Second Floor Level – 1,460.00 sq.m.
- Roof Deck Level – 321.98 sq.m.
Tagged as the “People’s Project,” the Capiz Convention Center will be a landmark and testament to every Capiznon’s artistry and sagacity. It is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project involving the donation of a 2-hectare prime Pueblo de Panay land.
According to local officials, Capiz has been hosting conventions for the past 12 years – regional, national, and international. The Capiz Convention Center will be a bigger venue for these events.
Capiz is known as the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines” for its mouthwatering seafood dishes. It also boasts enchanting caves, historical landmarks, and beaches that will fulfill your wanderlust.
The P750-million convention center is expected to be completed by 2023.
