Started with a strong overture with electric guitars and a modern sound, Pingkian: Isang Musikal is a showcase of bravery and innovation as it presents the story of Emilio Jacinto, or “Ang Utak Ng Katipunan.”
Yesterday, the Tanghalang Pilipino live streamed the play on social media, allowing global audiences to enjoy the new musical at the comfort of their own homes. The playwright behind the modern musical is Juan Ekis who presented the play in a very unique manner, from its opening video showing that the theatrical masterpiece was inspired by the hero’s dreams, memories, and delirium.
