Aside from the scenery, there is a chill picnic spot and stone paths to explore. Some visitors even climb the edges of the rocks to get a better view. Just remember to be careful because the rocks can be slippery and the waves can be unpredictable.

How To Get There?

Location: Brgy. 2, Hernani, Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines

  • By Car: If you are coming from Tacloban City, take the Maharlika Highway (Route 1) heading east toward Borongan City. The ride takes around 3 hours. Once you reach Borongan City, continue driving along the coastal road until you arrive at Hernani. From there just look for Barangay 2, where Canhugas Nature Park is located. There are signs around town. Parking is available near the entrance.
  • By Commute: Ride a bus or a UV Express Van from Tacloban City to Borongan City. It takes 2-4 hours depending on the vehicle. The fare is around ₱150.00 to ₱200.00. From Borongan City, take a jeepney or a tricycle ride to the Canhugas Nature Park entrance.
