The Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) has given OceanJet a clearance to resume its ‘sweeper trips’. These trips include the Bohol-Cebu-Dumaguete-Bohol route.
Though clearance was given by the BIATF, OceanJet is yet to announce whether or not they would be securing a Permit to Operate (PTO) from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) for its ticketing offices.
The fastcraft company was initially supposed to have started serving the aforementioned sweeper trips on October 8, but suspended their operations the day after. OceanJet has failed to renew its PTO and has not secured “annual passes” for its employees which is required by the PPA and BIATF.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) head Anthony Damalerio said that though clearance has been given, OceanJet is still mandated to strictly comply with all the health protocols and guidelines for traveling in the new normal.
