Calumsan Spring is tucked in the hidden forests of Cantaongon, Loon, Bohol. Loon Municipality is on the western coast of Bohol. It is said to have been named after a beautiful seaside spring located in the northern part of the Poblacion.
Its cool waters can pacify weary souls. It’s a haven of both mystery and excitement. Swim through its waters while witnessing the grand showcase of lush vegetation and thick forest that seem to cuddle the entire stretch of the spring.
Calumsan Spring is still not a known tourist destination compared to its counterparts in Bohol like the Tubig-Loon Spring and the Danicop Ticugan Spring. The place is packed with potentials for tourism and the local government can start venturing into developing the area and explore limitless boundaries that other places were able to.
As of now, there are only limited information about the spring. This makes it a good reason for you to visit the place before it gets mainstream. As always, the less traveled the place is, the better. You’ll have first-hand experience of Calumsan Spring in its rawest, untouched form.
HOW TO GET THERE?
Exact location: Cantaongon, Loon, Bohol, Central Visayas
BY COMMUTE: There are daily schedule of boat and fast craft trip from Cebu to Tubigon. You can take a fast craft for less than 2 hours. From Tubigon Port, ask the locals where is the Tubigon terminal then ride a Bus going to Loon, Bohol. The fare is P25. From Loon, near the public market, hire a Motorcycle going to Cantaongon, Loon, Bohol.
Alternatively, you can also take a trip from Cebu to Tagbilaran. You can take a fast craft for 2 hours. From Tagbilaran City port, ask the locals for the location of Jeepneys (Cogon Terminal) or Ceres (Dao Terminal) going to Loon, Bohol. The fare is P25 if you ride Jeepney. From Loon, near the public market, hire a Motorcycle going to Cantaongon, Loon, Bohol.
