Dive and submerge yourself in the cleanest inland body of water in the country at Malumpati Cold Spring.

The pristine and unadulterated waters of Malumpati Cold Spring in Antique, also known as the Malumpati Health Spring Resort, is visited by many tourists for its clean, refreshing, and soothing waters. Many of those who visit are curious about how much truth there is to it being the cleanest spring in the country and the guides even encourage them to drink the water to find it out for themselves. As expected, many of them are dumbfounded by how pure and refreshing it really is.

The term “Malumpati” is actually a portmanteau of the native word “malumpat” and the Ati, an indigeneous group located in Panay. “Malumpat” means “will jump” and the combination of the two terms refers to the time when the spring was used by the Ati to freshen themselves up.

Aside from deeply refreshing waters, Malumpati Cold Spring is also surrounded by a picturesque scenery of Malumpati’s various flora. Aside from swimming in the refreshing waters, there are several ways that guests can enjoy the natural atmosphere and the turquoise waters.

One of the most famous ways to enjoy the spring is through water tubing – an exciting activity where visitors will ride a rubber tube and let the river current take them downstream. There’s also zipline, trekking, rappelling, and wall climbing for other thrills that adventure-seekers can enjoy.

For those who just want to enjoy the beautiful scenery, they can relax in their artistic version of the native nipa huts. The cottages sit peacefully by the edge of the spring and with a background of trees and other lush greens which makes it a great place for picnics. They are easily accessible from the spring so if anyone decides to go for a swim, they could do so without a second thought.
