Before Boracay, Sicogon Island was the top beach destination in Panay Island. During the 1970s, the island was flocked by both local and foreign tourists because of its pristine, white-sand beaches.

However, as Boracay got more popular, Sicogon Island’s popularity waned. The implementation of Martial Law in the 70s also made the tourism in the area more complicated.

But with the help of Ayala Development, Sicogon Island is definitely making a comeback as it has been renovated into a world-class resort, another tourist attraction that will surely put Iloilo on the map as a strong contender when it comes to luxury beaches.

Sicogon Island, with its crystal-clear waters and long stretches of white sand, is a picturesque tourist destination, perfect if you want to experience a quality beaching experience.

The abundance of coconut trees and other verdant life is also a plus when it comes to the island’s refreshing ambiance. The natural setting of the island is also good for Instagrammable captures.

Currently, the resort operating in the area are Balay Kogon and Huni Resort. Both resorts are located along Buaya Beach and tourists have mentioned the crystal-clear water as one of the amazing things they have experienced while in the island.

Restaurants and food places are also available within the island and guests are also encouraged to bring their own.
