The Philippines’ first brandy museum just opened its doors. Ready to explore and drink?
Every bottle of Spanish brandy has a fascinating history waiting to be unearthed. Liquor aficionados and fans may now do just that, as Emperador Inc. – the Philippines’ largest liquor company and the world’s largest brandy manufacturer – has opened the country’s first-ever Brandy Museum in Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park.
BRANDY EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER
The interactive museum will make visitors “feel as if they are inside a real bodega in Spain while immersing themselves in the whole brandy experience.”
To level up the brandy experience, guests can attend a brandy appreciation workshop and learn more about different brandy products from leading Spanish brandy producers such as Bodegas Fundador, Bodegas San Bruno, Bodegas Terry, and Bodegas Garvey.
OLD AND RARE FINDS
The Brandy Museum houses important artifacts such as books, letters, traditional wine- and brandy-making utensils, samples of grape-growing soils, and rare, antique Emperador brandy bottles.
The Bodegas Fundador vineyard and bodegas in Jerez, Spain, the process of producing oak wine barrels, and the growth and harvesting of grapes for winemaking (also known as viticulture) are all available as audiovisual presentations.

The experience does not stop there. Within the Brandy Appreciation Hall, a door leads directly to the museum’s gift shop. Visitors can buy a bottle of Emperador or Fundador brandy to take home with them at this location.
There’s also a cafe that serves frappes and iced drinks made with Emperador’s newest product, Emperador Coffee Brandy, which goes well with the sumptuous treats like cakes and macarons on offer.
