Kalon Barak Skyline Ridge


Kalon Barak Skyline Ridge in Malungon offers breathtaking panoramic views of rolling hills, parts of General Santos and even distant Mount Matutum on a clear day. The ridge is a favorite among adventure seekers thanks to its elevated perspective points and the “skyline” feel you get when mist drifts through at dawn or dusk. You’ll have to brave a bumpy road to get there but the scenery makes that journey part of the charm. Kalon Barak Skyline Ridge is open daily from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
How To Get There?
Location: Kalonbarak Rd, Malungon, Davao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines
- By Car: From General Santos City, take the National Highway heading north toward Malungon. Upon reaching the Malungon Central Elementary School and Gas Petronas Gas Station, turn onto Kalonbarak Road. Continue for approximately 8 kilometers since the road is partially paved but can be rough in sections. Upon arrival, you can park near the entrance of Kalon Barak Skyline Ridge.
- By Commute: Ride a van bound for Malungon at the KCC Mall terminal. The fare is around ₱50.00. Alternatively, take a bus from the Bulaong Terminal heading to Davao and alight at Malungon Terminal. From Malungon Terminal, take a habal-habal (motorbike taxi) to Kalon Barak Skyline Ridge.
Lamlifew School of Living Traditions

Lamlifew School of Living Traditions which is also called as Lamlifew Village Museum is a community run cultural center in Malungon dedicated to preserving the B’laan tribe’s heritage. Visitors can watch artisans weave tabih fabrics, explore old garments and tools, and see the traditions still alive in daily life. It’s warm, humble, and dignified and you don’t just see culture, you feel it.

- By Car: From General Santos City, head west toward Malungon via the National Highway. Upon reaching Malungon, continue to Barangay Datal Tampal and follow signs leading to Sitio Lamlifew. The journey typically takes about 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
- By Commute: From General Santos City, take a van or bus bound for Malungon at the Bulaong Bus Terminal. Upon arrival at the Malungon Terminal, take a habal-habal (motorbike taxi) to Sitio Lamlifew which is approximately 30 to 45 minutes away depending on the weather and road conditions.
Nalus Falls

Nalus Falls Farm and Forest in Kiamba is a lush rainforest getaway with clear cool waters perfect for swimming and letting nature lull you with its calm ambience. The falls are a short hike from the town proper and the entrance is ₱50.00 per head for a day tour, ₱25.00 for children, with the overnight rate doubling to ₱100.00.

Location: Purok Masagana, Barangay, Kiamba, Sarangani, Mindanao, Philippines
- By Car: From General Santos City, head north via the National Highway toward Kiamba. Continue driving for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the Kiamba Municipal Hall. From there, proceed to Barangay Nalus. Upon entering Barangay Nalus, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Purok Masagana, where the falls are located. The journey typically takes about 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
- By Commute: From General Santos City, go to the Bulaong Bus Terminal and board a bus or van bound for Kiamba. The ride takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at the Kiamba Terminal, take a habal-habal to take you to Barangay Nalus specifically to Purok Masagana. The habal-habal ride (motorbike taxi) is about 30 to 45 minutes depending on road conditions. It’s advisable to coordinate with the driver for a return trip.
