ENJOYING SAMAL ISLAND
The Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos) has always been a favorite tourist destination in the south because the island brims with pristine beaches. The city is still not overcrowded thus making it an ideal spot to escape stress from work and city life. In fact, Samal is considered the “largest resort city in the Philippines” because it houses a number of amazing resorts.
Festivals are also everywhere in the island that is why it is known as the “Island of Festivals.” Feast yourself with festivities such as Hugyaw Madayaw every August, the Kabasan Festival, a week-long revelry celebrated every month of May, and the Caracoles Festival held during April.
